Modern-Day Slavery Human Trafficking
An information day was held on June 20, 2009, which was co-sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family and Dominican Sisters of MSJ. There were also more than 25 additional sponsors. It was a great success and aproximately 200 people attended the day long intensive schedule for the day. Click here to see come pictures of the event.
Speakers included Yulanda Kwong, M.S.W., Social Service Department Director of "Donaldina Cameron House" in San Francisco and representing the "Asian Anti-Trafficking Collaborative" (API Legal Outreach, Asian Women's Shelter, Cameron House, and Narika); Lauren C. Wood and Karen Greene, Special Agents with the FBI; Pat Atkins with "Made by Survivors" in San Francisco; Mark Wexler, Managing Director of Not for Sale located in San Francisco; and Nola Brantley, Executive Director of MISSSEY [Motivating, Inspiring, Supporting, & Serving Sexually Exploited Youth] located in Oakland.

- ECPAT-USA had "TassaTags" assisting travelers to be a voice against child sex tourism.
